Install Givanta on a compatible iPad or iPhone, create or join your organisation, choose a subscription or approved entitlement, connect the organisation's Square account and prepare the device for its intended purpose.
Givanta supports Square Kiosk for an integrated permanent iPad installation and a supported standalone Square Reader for a flexible setup. The standalone Reader has been validated with Givanta on compatible iPad and iPhone devices. Confirm model and market compatibility before purchasing hardware.
Signing in or opening Cloud Admin does not consume a giving-device licence. A licence is used only when a compatible device is explicitly activated to accept donations.
The licence applies to the active iPad or iPhone running Givanta as a Giving Device. An attached or integrated Square reader does not consume another licence. Deactivate a device before replacing or permanently retiring it.
Connect the organisation's authorised Square account and select the correct active Square location. Payments are processed through Square and settle according to that Square account.
If a reader appears unavailable, confirm power, Bluetooth permissions where applicable, network access, Square authorisation and the selected hardware profile. Avoid repeatedly activating a second device while troubleshooting.
For the current supported iPhone setup, use a compatible standalone Square Reader. Tap to Pay on iPhone is not currently advertised as a supported Givanta payment method.
Reporting includes donation totals, campaign and named-device summaries, recent approved payments and CSV export for supported periods.
Single and Multi subscriptions are managed through Apple. The Single Device plan permits one active Giving Device and the Multi Device plan permits up to three. Eligible new subscribers may receive one month free on the Single Device plan, limited to one active Giving Device and subject to Apple's eligibility terms.
Use the Restore Purchases option in Givanta while signed in with the Apple Account that purchased the subscription. Restoring a purchase does not automatically activate an additional Giving Device.
Apple controls App Store subscription billing, renewal, plan changes, cancellation and refund requests. The timing of an upgrade or downgrade follows Apple's subscription rules.
Organisation owners and administrators control membership and permissions. Reporting-only access should not permit payment-provider changes, subscription changes or Giving Device activation.
Contact Givanta to request access, correction or deletion of account information. We may need to verify your identity and authority to act for the organisation.
Email support@givanta.com.au. Include your organisation name, device nickname or identifier if available, iPad or iPhone model and software version, hardware type, app version and a clear description of the issue.
Never email passwords, access tokens, full card numbers or card security codes.
Request a demonstration, ask about hardware and onboarding, or sign in to Givanta Cloud Admin.
